CISO Expert is a personal publication by David O’Neil. It has no accounts, no comments and no newsletter sign-up, so there is very little to say here — but what there is, is below.

What is collected

• Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details and the pages you view. I use the aggregate reports only; I don’t try to identify individual visitors. Google’s own policy applies to that data: policies.google.com/privacy.
• Server logs. The web host keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for security and troubleshooting.
• Messages you send. If you contact me (currently via LinkedIn), I receive what you choose to send and use it only to reply.

What is not done

No selling or sharing of personal data, no advertising trackers, no profiles.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google’s opt-out add-on. The site works fully without them.
